<p>A model scout linked to Jeffrey Epstein and potentially slated for questioning in France was found dead near Paris, according to French officials.</p>
<p>The individual, Daniel Siad, previously communicated with Epstein about a decade ago, and messages indicate he attempted to connect Epstein with several young female models, some reportedly under 18, including one described as 15.</p>
<p>Siad acknowledged his work for Epstein but denied any wrongdoing. He was discovered dead in a house in Colombes, a northern suburb of Paris, with investigators determining the cause of death is still under assessment.</p>
<p>Siad had been identified by the Paris chief prosecutor as someone who could be questioned in ongoing inquiries into Epstein’s associates, which had not yet progressed at the time of the announcement.</p>
<p>In a May interview, Siad denied the accusations, stating his relationship with Epstein was strictly professional and describing a 30-year career as a model scout with connections to Epstein dating to the early 2000s.</p>
<p>Siad’s lawyer said he consistently proclaimed his innocence.</p>
<p>A separate prosecutor action this year disclosed a complaint by a Swedish former model alleging sexual acts described as rape in 1990 in France, involving Siad. The complainant, Ebba P. Karlsson, publicly described the alleged incident on a platform for abuse survivors.</p>
<p>Siad is the second Epstein associate connected to France to be found dead, following the 2022 death of Jean-Luc Brunel, a modeling agent previously charged with rape of minors.</p>
