Israel claims to have eliminated another high-ranking member of Hezbollah.

Israeli military conducts targeted strikes on Hezbollah leadership in Beirut The Israeli military has confirmed the killing of a senior Hezbollah commander, Ibrahim Mohammad Qobeisi, in an airstrike in Beirut. This marks the latest in a series of attacks aimed at dismantling Hezbollah's leadership. Mr. Qobeisi was responsible for overseeing Hezbollah's missile operations and had orchestrated the abduction of three Israeli soldiers in 2000. Israel's intensified efforts to eliminate Hezbollah's top figures come in response to continued attacks by the Iranian-backed group on Israel, in solidarity with Hamas from Gaza. The recent strikes have reportedly weakened Hezbollah's military capabilities, with at least two members of the group's top military council, the Jihad Council, killed in the past two months. In a retaliatory move, Israel targeted Fuad Shukr, a prominent Hezbollah military leader, following a deadly rocket attack from Lebanon that claimed the lives of 12 children in Israeli-controlled territory. Another strike aimed at Ibrahim Aqeel, alongside other high-ranking members of Hezbollah, resulted in significant civilian casualties. Most recently, Israel attempted to assassinate Ali Karaki, a key member of the Jihad Council, in a Beirut airstrike. Hezbollah has refuted claims of his death, stating that he has been moved to a secure location. The ongoing campaign against Hezbollah's leadership underscores Israel's determination to curb the group's aggressive actions towards Israel.
