Singapore has established a task force of over 20 experts and industry leaders to enhance defences against AI-enabled cyber threats, according to the Infocomm Media Development Authority.

The Frontier AI Resilience and Security Taskforce (FAIRS) will focus on strengthening network segmentation, improving network visibility, and enhancing response capabilities to address evolving threats. The task force is expected to publish a report with practical guidelines and best practices in the first half of 2027.

The initiative follows the launch of a new national cybersecurity strategy aimed at enabling faster responses to AI-enabled threats. IMDA also introduced a starter kit to help organisations test agentic AI systems for safety and reliability. Unlike conventional AI systems, agentic AI can act on behalf of users and access external systems and sensitive information.
