China Enhances Regulations on Fentanyl Precursors Following Summit

China has announced that it will implement a licensing requirement for the export of 13 chemicals commonly used in the production of illicit drugs. This decision marks a significant regulatory step aimed at controlling the flow of these substances.

The move is seen as another indication of improving relations between China and the United States, the two largest economies in the world. By tightening export controls, China aims to address concerns related to drug trafficking and its associated impacts.

This regulatory change is expected to enhance cooperation between the two nations in combating the global drug crisis, reflecting a broader trend of thawing tensions in their bilateral relationship.
