Tongsun Park, a well-known international lobbyist involved in bribery scandals, passed away at 89 in Seoul. Initially gaining influence by hosting lavish parties for lawmakers, he was later revealed to be working for the Korean Central Intelligence Agency. Dubbed "The Onassis of the Orient," Park was indicted for bribery in the 1970s but granted immunity in exchange for testimony. Decades later, he faced legal trouble again for lobbying on behalf of Saddam Hussein. Despite his controversial past, Park maintained connections internationally and advised political figures in South Korea. Known for his ability to make connections, he was remembered for his networking skills and involvement in various political affairs.
