Fortunately, no embassy staff were harmed during the incident. Both Lebanese security forces and the embassy's security team swiftly responded to the gunfire near the entrance of the heavily fortified compound, located in Beirut. The embassy confirmed that the situation is being investigated. In response to the attack, the Lebanese army deployed troops around the embassy, and security forces closed the road leading to the compound.
