Nearly 200 arrests result from crackdowns at three college protests.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrations and encampments on U.S. college campuses have led to a series of arrests, with nearly 200 protesters detained at Northeastern University, Arizona State University, and Indiana University. The arrests are part of a broader trend, with over 700 protesters detained since April 18. At Northeastern, a protest encampment was cleared by Massachusetts State Police, leading to the arrest of 102 protesters. The university accused the demonstration of being infiltrated by professional organizers and cited the use of antisemitic slurs, which protesters denied. Similar crackdowns occurred at other universities, reflecting a nationwide struggle to manage the growing pro-Palestinian activism on campuses.
