Glacial ice has sealed the gateway to Everest’s summit, preventing hundreds of climbers from reaching the top.
Experts known as “icefall doctors” are actively working to address the blockage and restore access to the summit through the dangerous icefall region.
Authorities have not yet provided a timeline for when climbers might be able to proceed again, and safety remains the top priority as efforts continue.
