Economists Report Growing Supreme Court Bias in Favor of Wealthy Individuals


A new study indicates that the Republican-appointed justices of the court exhibited a notable shift in their voting patterns regarding cases involving wealth.

In 2022, these justices voted in favor of the wealthier party in 70 percent of the cases, a significant increase from 45 percent in 1953. This trend highlights a growing alignment of judicial decisions with the interests of affluent litigants over the decades.
