Trump Family Commits to Initiatives in Qatar and Dubai Prior to Presidential Visit to the Middle East

The Trump Organization has reached an agreement with a Qatari government-owned firm to support a golf course and luxury home development in Qatar, just two weeks ahead of President Trump's planned state visit to the Middle East.

Eric Trump, the president’s son and head of the family business, visited Dubai recently to attend a cryptocurrency conference and promote various real estate initiatives, including a new Trump-branded tower in the United Arab Emirates.

The Qatar project is being developed in partnership with Qatari Diar, a real estate company linked to the country’s sovereign wealth fund and chaired by a government minister. Eric Trump described the golf course as “beautiful” and located “right on the ocean,” according to statements made to The New York Times.

Additionally, the two Middle Eastern projects will include collaboration with Dar Global, an international subsidiary of the private Saudi real estate firm Dar Al Arkan, which has strong connections to the Saudi government. The news of the Qatar project was initially reported by Reuters.

President Trump is scheduled to arrive in the region on May 13, with plans to visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the Emirates. He has indicated that these countries are offering “a lot of money” for American companies.
