
Tens of millions of people on the Iberian Peninsula experienced significant disruptions on Monday due to extensive power outages that lasted for several hours.
In Spain and Portugal, hospitals relied on generators, train services were suspended, and supermarkets closed their doors. By Monday evening, power was partially restored in some areas of Spain; however, many residents remained without electricity. Authorities worked diligently to identify and rectify the underlying issue while daylight remained.
